General Diving Information
Do I need to be certified to go diving?
No. If you’re not certified, you can join our PADI Discover Scuba Diving program, where an instructor will guide you step by step.
What is the minimum age to start scuba diving?
The minimum age to start scuba diving is 8 years old: Bubblemaker program (pool only, max 2 m depth)
At 10 years old : Junior Open Water Diver certification
And at 15 years old: Standard Open Water Diver certification.
Is scuba diving safe?
Yes. Diving with a qualified instructor and following PADI safety standards makes diving a very safe activity. Our groups are small, and all equipment is checked daily.
What medical conditions may prevent me from diving?
Certain conditions like asthma, epilepsy, heart or lung disease may require a doctor’s clearance. You’ll need to complete the PADI Medical Statement before starting any PADI dive courses.
Courses & Training
How long does it take to get certified as an Open Water Diver?
The PADI Open Water Diver course takes 3 days. We also offer a referral option, so you can do theory and pool training at home, and complete open water dives with us.
Do I need to be a good swimmer to do an PADI Open Water Diver Course?
You don’t need to be an expert, but you should be able to swim at least 200 meters (any style) and float/tread water for 10 minutes.
What is the difference between Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water?
Discover Scuba Diving (DSD): A try-dive experience, not a certification. Open Water Diver: An internationally recognized license allowing you to dive up to 18 metres depth anywhere in the world.
What’s the next step after Open Water Diver?
The Advanced Open Water Diver course (2 days) lets you dive deeper (up to 30 m) and introduces specialty dives like navigation, night, or wreck diving.
Do you offer Nitrox (Enriched Air) training?
Yes. Diving with Nitrox allows for longer bottom times and is especially useful for repetitive diving.
Can children learn scuba diving?
Yes. Kids as young as 8 years old can try diving in our Bubblemaker program, and 10 years old can start Junior Open Water courses.
Dive Trips & Activities
What dive sites do you visit?
We dive around the Ao Nang local islands from May until the end of October. From November until the end of April we operate trips to Phi Phi Islands and King Cruiser Wreck(depending on conditions).
How many dives can I do in a day?
Typically two dives per day are included in our day trips.
How long are the boat trips?
Local island dives take about 30–40 minutes travel time by long tail boat. Trips to Phi Phi or take about 1 hour by speedboat.
What if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. Trips may be delayed, rescheduled, or refunded according to our cancellation policy.
Equipment & Safety
Is equipment rental included?
For certified divers, equipment rental is not included in the dive price. Rental gear (including dive computer) is available at an additional cost. For all PADI courses, a full set of equipment is included, except for the Divemaster course.
Can I use my own gear?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own gear. We also check that it is safe and functional before the dive.
Can I use an underwater camera?
Yes, but Thai regulations require you to be an Advanced Open Water Diver or have 40+ dives. We also rent Olympus TG-7 cameras.
Do you provide dive computers?
Yes, a dive computer is included in all rental gear sets.
Do I need dive insurance?
Insurance is included in all courses. For certified divers, daily dive accident insurance is available at a small cost.
Health & Safety
How long must I wait before flying after diving?
You must wait at least 18 hours after your last dive before flying.
Diving with us on a normal scheduled trip or course will usually allow you to take a flight the next day after 9 am.
What if I feel seasick?
We recommend taking motion sickness tablets about 30 minutes before departure.
What should I bring on the boat?
Bring a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, swimwear, and a hat. We provide drinking water, lunch, and fruits.
What is the maximum depth I can dive?
Open Water Divers: up to 18 m Advanced Open Water: up to 30 m Technical divers: up to 40 m (with training)
Prices & Payments
What’s included in the price?
Prices include tanks, weights, boat trip, instructor/guide, lunch, water, and transfers from Ao Nang area.
What is not included in the price?
Equipment rental for certified divers, Marine National Park fees, optional dive insurance, and camera rental.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A deposit is required to secure your booking.
Can I pay by credit card?
Yes, you can pay with cash or credit card with a 3% card fee.
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits and payments are non-refundable. PADI eLearning/materials are non-refundable once issued. Weather-related cancellations follow our Terms & Conditions.

Do you offer private trips?
Yes, we can arrange private diving or snorkeling trips on request.
Do you arrange hotel transfers?
Yes, we offer pick-up and drop-off from hotels in Ao Nang area on diving day.
Do you offer pick up on Railey beach
No you will need to arrange your own transportation to Ao Nang.
Do you offer pick up at the airport?
No, we do not offer an airport pick up service.
Eco & Environment
Are you eco-friendly?
Yes. We follow Reef Guardian practices, reduce plastic waste, and educate divers on marine conservation.
What can I do to protect the reef?
Avoid touching corals, use reef-safe sunscreen, control your buoyancy, and don’t feed fish.
