Advanced Open Water

It’s what the Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about.

You don’t have to be “advanced” to take the course, it’s designed so you can go straight into it after the Open Water Diver course.

The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water.

This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your Instructor.

This course builds on what you’ve previously learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving.

You will learn and practice;

• Deep Dive
• Underwater Navigation

And three other modules dives chosen from the list of Advanced Dives;

• Underwater Naturalist
• Digital Underwater Photography
• Wreck Diver
• Enriched Air Diver [Nitrox]
• Search & Recovery

Younger divers under 15 years old can also complete these training dives and receive the Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification. This allows dives to a maximum depth of 21 meters.

Course Requirements

To take the Advanced Open Water course, you must be:

• a Certified Open Water diver.
• at least 15 years old

To take the Junior Advanced Open Water course, you must be:

• a Certified Open Water diver or Junior Open Water Diver.
• at least 12 years old
