The PADI SCUBA Diver Course

Short on time and long on the urge to become a certified diver? The Scuba Diver certification might just be for you.
Scuba Diver is the PADI Level 1 certification.
This course requires less time than the Open Water course but covers the same initial training material;
- Three of five Open Water Knowledge Development sections
- Three of five Open Water pool training sessions.
- Two of four Open Water training dives.
When you sign-up for the course you will receive your self-study course material which you must complete before starting Day 1 of the course with your instructor.
Successful completion of the SCUBA Diver Course results in a limited certification that allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres and requires you to always dive in the company of a Certified Dive Professional i.e. Instructor.
If you expect to go scuba diving always in the company of a certified dive professional or if you have limited time to devote to scuba dive training then consider this PADI Scuba Diver course.
This certification allows for ample dive experience and is a good warm-up for the Open Water course, if that’s your ultimate goal.
Scuba divers are qualified to:
Dive under the direct supervision of a Divemaster, assistant instructor or instructor to a maximum depth of 12 meters / 40 feet.
Obtain air fills, rent or purchase scuba equipment and participate in other diving activities as long as they have the required supervision.

15 years old (or 10 years old for Junior scuba diver certification)
